It seems part of being a manager means never turning your back. You are always having to circle around and protect your flank. Who is riding the clock? Who is at the omlette station giving them away to employees? Who has wandered away from their station and is hiding from work while you are busy somewhere else?

We had an Indian group come in who wanted traditional Indian cuisine. The chef who came in was very professional and polite. I played the part of a host and provided them with the necessary equipment and storage space. The food was very good. I was provided a plate with a small sample of all the dishes available. I ate all I could and walked away stuffed to the gills and ready for a nap. I never eat that much at one time, especially when I am at work. It takes too much of a toll. My body drags and my mind becomes unfocused. Her restaurant is actually right down the street from the hotel where I was formerly employed. When I told her I would definitely come to the restaurant with my wife for a meal she graciously gave me a complementary meal for two. I think this is partially because I was very helpful in getting them anything they needed and because she had such a difficult time in dealing with the banquet director and banquet staff.
