I know it is considered fashionable to be a few minutes late, but some people like to take it to the extreme. Last night we had a plated dinner for 120. The dinner was supposed to start at 7:00. The salads never even went out until 9:30. Even more amusing, only about half of the people showed up for the party at all. We of course charged them the full amount because we had already prepared the original amount of food per our agreement. So the few people that did show ended up spending somewhere in the vicinity of $46 per plate for chicken.
